The Algalita Marine Research Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the marine environment and its watersheds through research, education, and restoration. In keeping with our mission statement, the Algalita Marine Research Foundation (AMRF) is engaged solely in (1) Protection of the marine environment and its watersheds, through investigative research on the impact of plastic marine pollution; and (2) Providing authoritative, educational findings to the public, private and scientific communities.

We are committed to the massive task of helping people understand and engage on threats to the world’s oceans. Our contribution will be through a voyage of front-line discovery and communication, running a great transect across half the earth. Sailing west from “old-world” England to California, we will spend over 8 months working towards our goals to document environmental change in coastal and offshore marine ecosystems, and communicate the results to the public.

Livable Legacy is a non-profit sustainability organization focused on education outreach, advocacy, and scientific research. Until we develop a physical space for our future school museum, we are mobile science center, providing outreach education to schools, traveling displays, oceanic research expeditions, and summer "excavacations" for students and families, digging dinosaurs in Wyoming.

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide.

Surfrider Foundation now has over 50,000 members in the USA; in addition, International Surfrider Foundation chapters and affiliates have been established in many foreign countries including the Surfrider Foundation Europe (with ongoing programs and Chapters in France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy) as well as Japan, Brazil, and Australia.

Green Ambassadors, a project of Environmental Charter High School, is an environmental education program that empowers youth to be agents of change in their communities and world.
