A lot of that plastic is coming from small islands states like the Marshall Islands, where I live... our shores are covered with locally dumped plastic! At high tide some back yard dumps release plastic directly to the lagoon (I have photographed it!). I use a canvas bag to shop, but what small gesture...

If ever there was a time to stop crapping in our own back yard globally now is that time.

Watching this makes us so mad ,that people are not doing much to minimise this problem ...We need to make a change now or it will be too late , do something , show it in schools , work ,colleges, tv .. make a difference ....

I wish people would do more to prevent animals from dying, getting sick, and getting injured due to human polution. This video should be shown to every individual on this planet.

This is the reality... the side most people don't want to see,
80 million tons a year - truly an overwhelming shadow cast by the light of our progress... paradox everywhere.

I agree with all of the above statements. beautifully done! and the music goes well with it! but seriously, most people in the world really don't give a darn and don't want outsiders telling them how to live their lives. that's just the way it is in the real world, unfortunately.

I say it needs to be aired as a commercial during prime time TV. To be fair only after commercials where there is plastic used, clearly seen or promoted as part of the packaging.....

Amazing - the best I've seen and I've seen many videos trying to grasp the enormity of this problem. Thanks for posting it!

This video needs to be shown in schools with someone narrating bits here and there. The kids will get it.
